ANCIENT FAMILY TRADITIONS THAT BRING A STEP FORWARD.
Grown up among fields, harvestings, vineyards, and vintages in the prosperous land of the Agrigento province among Racalmuto, Agrigento, and Favara the partners of the brand "Terre di Misita", belong to families in which grape growing has always been a tradition that's why they decided to unite to make a profound change in terms of wine quality. They started vinifying their own grapes enriching the family patrimony with the art of vinification. The grapes are cultivated in their farms sited nearby Agrigento's Valley of the Temples. Actually the grapes used are Nero d'Avola, Inzolia, Cataratto and Chardonnay, autochthonous vines that have always been grown in this area and magnificently selected by nature, time and the ancient experienced hands of ancestors. The international vines instead suit perfectly to our climatic conditions. In the vineyards a contraspalliera the harvesting is still done manually at the beginning of September. Our company produces two lines of red wine and two lines of white. The labels take their names from the vineyard site: Terre di Misita; Kores instead is devoted to the Greek soul of Agrigento's territory.
Kores, pure Nero d'Avola is the only wine of ours refined in barriques. Kores Catarratto Chardonnay is directly obtained through the fermentation of the must in barriques. The typical cuisine ofthe Sicilian tradition is the best to appreciate these intense wines, but ofcourse they perfectly match up to the tastes of the International cuisine as shown by the interest of our foreign clients. The wines bottled are distributed worldwide.
